Catching Wild Pigs 

 

There's a lot of political stuff going on. A lot side-choosing. A lot 

Riding on your vote, and a lot riding on whether or not you vote - or sit idly by! 

 

It's often hard to know where to fight the battles with all the things 

We have going on in our lives. One way to help, it seems, is to forward 

These types of things in the hope they strike a chord, a cause to action, even 

If that action is only to make "other's" aware. And whether or not you feel 

The same is ...well.... your action to call! 

 

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some 

exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab 

the Professor noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. 

 

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government. 

 

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange 

question. He asked, ' Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' 

 

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The 

young man said this was no joke. You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are use to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat; you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. 

 

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it, and now they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.' 

 

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, free medical, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time. 

 

One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free Lunch! 

Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you 

can do it yourself. 

 

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America; you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

My note: It doesn't matter whether these are subsidies, welfare or earmarks, 

there are some 545 people we elected who can change things. If they can change things and they don't, they must like it the way it is. If you don't, 

well, the key is, "WE" elected them!

There certainly are things that need correction or balance. When you take an overview of the time line; most of the Vietnam War protesters (in your country and ours) have risen to the ranks of university professor and now teach our children their (Marxist) views of the world. Let's face it, if your prof is liberal and you have to submit a paper, your ONLY position must coincide with their liberal philosophy or suffer a D/F. All big business is evil; poor "workers" get nothing.....yada, yada, yada. Unions pay ridicules wages to hold up a shovel or play cards once the piece work is done.  

 

Businesses regardless of country were started by risk takers that sacrificed everything, gave of themselves, as well as their families, to work 16-20 hours a day to develop their dream into reality. In other words - THEY TOOK ALL THE RISK. Became a success, hired workers, grew, and were thanked by making....god forbid....a PROFIT. Now, half assed workers demand $10.00 - 20.00 per hour for unskilled labor, the sense of entitlement would make me cry if it wasn't so funny. US politicians (along with my liberally educated daughter) say: "We must increase the minimum wage!” If that be the case; join me in waving good bye to the Mom & Pop businesses that we grew up with. We'll be stuck with mega monopolies like Wal-Mart, Target, Marc's, who pride themselves on low prices and no service.  

 

A solution is a transition to technology; wake up the manufacturing era is OVER. North American companies have moved to cheap labor countries, see above broom/card playing reference, in order to survive and service our thirst for their products. There must be equilibrium between vocational/technological education and formal "deep" thinking places of education. Maybe a split of two years and two. We have thousands of smart young people and the wisdom of the more experienced citizens that if given the opportunity would certainly grow into the technology ground swell that is pushing us away from the jobs our parents used to raise us.

We need to take some intelligent, united 

action. The oil companies just laughed at 

that because they knew we wouldn't continue 

to 'hurt' ourselves by refusing to buy gas. 

 

It was more of an inconvenience to us than 

It was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of  

this idea, has come up with a plan that can Really work. Please

By now you're probably thinking gasoline 

priced at about $1.00 is super cheap. Me 

too! It is currently $1.17 for regular unleaded 

in my town. 

 

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC 

nations have conditioned us to think that 

the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.14, 

we need to take aggressive action to teach 

them that BUYERS control the marketplace...not 

sellers. 

 

With the price of gasoline going up more 

Each day, we consumers need to take action. 

 

The only way we are going to see the price 

Of gas come down is if we hit someone in the 

pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! 

And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. 

 

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we 

can't just stop buying gas. 

 

But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if 

We all act together to force a price war. 

 

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, 

DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two 

biggest companies, ESSO and Shell. 

 

If they are not selling any gas, they will 

Be inclined to reduce their prices. If they 

reduce their prices, the other companies 

will have to follow suit. 

 

But to have an impact, we need to reach 

literally millions of Esso and Shell gas 

buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, 

don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading 

and I'll explain how simple it is to reach 

millions of people!! 

 

I am sending this note to 30 people. If 

Each of us s end it to at least ten more (30 x 

10 = 300)and those 300 send it to at least 

ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)...and so on, by 

the time the message reaches the sixth 

group of people, we will have reached over THREE 

MILLION consumers. If those three million get excited and pass 

this on to ten friends each, then 30 million 

people will have been contacted! 

 

If it goes one level further, you guessed 

it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! 

 

Again, all you have to do is send this to 

10 people. That's all! 

 

(If you don't understand how we can reach 

300 million and all you have to do is send 

this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, 

you just aren't a mathematician. But I am. 

so trust me on this one. 

 

How long would all that take? If each of us 

sends this e-mail out to ten more people 

within one day of receipt, all in. I 

suggest that we not buy from Esso and Shell UNTIL 

300 MILLION people could conceivably be 

Contacted within the next 8 days!!! 

 

I'll bet you didn't think you and I had

Acting together we can make a difference.

Here the latest NEWS in Canada, they released 4 of the terrorists from custody today (April 15th 2008). Yup the Canadian Justice system SUCKS! They city of Toronto was a target, and most likely still is, and they just let them go. HEY STOP WITH THE BIG FU$%ING REVOLVING DOOR! STOP LETTING THEM IN! STOP TAKING JOBS AWAY FROM THOSE WHO ALREADY LIVE HERE! You don't like what I am saying, take me to court, we already know how that will turn out! 

 

In the past 20 years this city has gone to hell, they come here and change our holidays, our beliefs, they cry if they don't get their way and the Canadian government caters to them. What about those of us that were BORN here! If we bitch you just jack up our taxes to support these incompetent jack-asses! 

 

Ever try to call the government? Think maybe they could speak English, or am I just asking for too much, you know what, I'm just sick of all the bullshit. So if you have a problem with this, guess what! I don't care, why should I?  our government doesn't.  If they did we would have stricter rules and these pricks would still be behind bars!
